Back to School
We’re here to help parents and teachers through these unprecedented times!
As the summer comes to a close, teachers are welcoming students back to both the classroom and the computer screen. Some parents are choosing to home-school. With all of the changes taking place throughout the state, parents and teachers can rest assured that Books Are Wings will remain a constant in the community.
We are continuing to collect new and used books to distribute to Rhode Island learners from preschool through middle school.
While this certainly can be an exciting time, it can also be nerve-wracking for teachers and parents who need to re-engage their students and keep them focused. For students there will likely be more stress caused by the necessary changes being made to their learning environment.
We’re here to help by providing free books to children–most often, book titles they choose themselves. We want them to continue to be excited about learning by receiving books that meet their interests and their reading levels.
Please contact Jocelynn White to request books for your child, school or community program at jwhite@booksarewings.org.
