Give A Good Read Week

It’s easy to share your favorite book with the community!

This week, from September 16th to the 22nd, Little Free Library is partnering with Good Reads to encourage you to share your favorite book with your local community. Little Free Library is celebrating their 10th birthday of supporting community based literacy access, just as a Books are Wings does. LFL started in 2009, when “Todd Bol created the first Little Free Library book exchange and placed it in the front yard of his Hudson, Wisconsin home. The Little Free Library nonprofit organization inspires a love of reading, builds community, and sparks creativity by fostering neighborhood book exchanges around the world.”

Did you know that many Books Are Wings Book Spots are registered little free libraries? The idea is simple: a community resource where you can finds books, read books and share books.

You can find the locations of Books Are Wings Books Spots here: BAW Book Spots

Give A Good Read Week is all about sharing the books that inspire and move you, in a place where anyone can experience them!

For the next week, Goodreads and Little Free Library are asking “readers to add their favorite book or latest good read to a Little Free Library near them.”

When you share your book, you can include a note that lets the next reader share the magic of a favorite book. You can download the template from Good Reads here:  Letter to a future reader!

Personalize your note to share why you picked this book to share. Be sure to share a photo and tag #GiveAGoodRead and #LFL10. Goodreads will be sharing some of these photos during the week.
