Making Observations: Literary Scavenger Hunt

Rhode Island is known for its vibrant cities, beautiful beaches and tranquil forests, but every neighborhood, park and backyard offers the chance for exploration and observation. STEM learning, which stands for science, technology, engineering and math, can help young learners practice their observation skills, while encouraging the development of literacy skills.

As families head back to school, our literary scavenger hunt offers support in STEM style observational learning, while highlighting all of the book related resources in Rhode Island. This is the perfect opportunity to spend time together and practice new skills learned at school!

Books Are Wings wants to encourage you to spend time reading together every day, and exploring your neighborhoods, local libraries and bookstores. You can use the scavenger hunts below to explore Rhode Island through literary eyes, while finding resources that will support your family and help your child get ready for school.
